Time to Order Little League Trading Pins!
Heads up, parents and coaches: You're in the on-deck circle of trading pin season! Time to get your design together for this year and ORDER EARLY!
Yep, just as you're starting to hear the first strains of "Take Me Out to the Ball Game," just as the big leagues are gearing up to start the season in April, it's time to ORDER trading pins.
We absolutely cannot stress this enough - Order as early as you possibly can to ensure that your trading pins arrive with time to spare. That way, your kids have their custom trading pins even in case of factory backups or shipping delays.
Keep in mind the Little League trading pin season is the busiest time of the year for the trading pin factories. Don't wait. More orders are coming in every day, and the factories will be massively backlogged by June. Don't let your sons and daughters be the ones disappointed by not having trading pins this year.
Wouldn't you rather have your pins in hand early instead of worrying about whether you'll get them the night before the tournament? If you aren't sure you'll make the tourney, go ahead and order anyway. Your kids will be well-equipped when they do get to tournament. If, for some reason, your team doesn't qualify this year, you can still use the same trading pins next year if you don't have the year on them.
Too many decision-makers spoil the pins.
ONE parent and the coach should able to make the decisions for the pin design. It's just not practical to have design revisions bounce back and forth among all your players and their parents.
Order Enough
Don't just base the number of pins on the number of teams you will play, because most players will trade with others not in their age bracket as well. To have a good trading pin experience, each player on your team will need at least 35 to 50 pins.
Think BIG!
Bigger trading pins are always more popular. Trading pin size is usually AT LEAST 1.5 inches. Most teams will order anywhere from 1.75-inch to 2.5-inch pins. An extra 1/4 inch might not sound like much, but it makes the surface area of your pin up to 25% bigger. An extra 1/4 inch increases the surface area by up to 40%!
Order Cloisonne Soft Enamel Pins: Cloisonne trading pins are the most popular trading pins for several reasons. Their 1.2mm thickness and die-struck construction makes them thick, heavy and more desirable than the thinner printed or photo etched pins.
For that reason, cloisonne pins trade much better than other types. You can usually order cloisonne pins for just about the same price as the thinner photo etched or printed styles. Do you really want to save a few cents only to have pins no one wants to trade for?
Add Trading Power: Great baseball or softball trading pins are the ones that make traders say "Wow!" You want your team's pins to have that extra special "it" that makes everyone at the tournament want to trade for them. Let our award-winning graphic artists show you how you can add custom options to make your trading pins THE ones everyone wants. Blinkers, bobble heads sliders, glitter colors, spinners or danglers will increase the value of your team's pins. A little extra flash will help your pins trade for two (or more) less desirable pins.
